An association pulls clubs, players and a county together. They're all on the same platform.
We're recruiting our first-cohort associations.
We're co-designing the competition engine with our first cohort of associations now. If you're a fixture secretary at a district BA weighing up whether to migrate from BaddersWeb or a spreadsheet, this is the moment to talk to us, your input shapes what ships.
Questions, answered.
Does this work for my league?
- Yes. Your league is run by an association (your district or local badminton association), the association is the tenant on Badminton Clubhouse. The association runs one or more competitions (league, cup, ladder) and the platform is built around that structure end-to-end.
When does the competition engine launch?
- September 2026, in time for the 2026–27 season. We’re co-designing the engine with our first cohort of association secretaries now: divisions, fixtures, results entry, opposing-captain verification, penalty automation and the public standings table all ship in that release.
How does match-card entry and verification work?
- The home team captain enters the result. The opposing captain gets a 7-day window to verify or contest. Verified results lock and feed the standings automatically. Contested results route to the association secretary for adjudication, with the original evidence preserved.
Can we migrate from BaddersWeb?
- Yes. CSV exports from BaddersWeb work out of the box for divisions, teams and fixture templates. Where the data we need isn’t exportable, we’ll re-key from a screenshot, whichever is faster for your secretary. We migrate in parallel to your current system and switch over only once you’ve signed off.
What does it cost an association?
- We’re publishing association pricing alongside the first-cohort launch in 2026. The model: the association pays nothing per club, clubs in your competitions pay the standard club fee (or are free under 30 members), and the association layer is included. Email us for the live numbers.
Which features ship for 2026–27 vs later?
- 2026–27 baseline: divisions, fixtures, cup competitions, captain match-card entry, opposing-captain verification, penalty automation (late entry, walkovers, ineligible players), automated standings, public results pages, association-secretary dashboard. On the 2027–28 roadmap: multi-team eligibility and play-up limits, automated promotion/relegation, handicap divisions, configurable penalty rules, AGM tools.
Do we have to be local to you to join the first cohort?
- No. The competition engine is built to scale and we’re explicitly inviting associations from anywhere into the first cohort. The earlier you join, the more your input shapes what ships.
What if our players or clubs aren’t on the platform yet?
- Fixtures and results work even where the players and clubs aren’t yet on the platform: we can run an association’s competitions in standalone mode with rostered team and player names only. The richer experience (per-player stats, profile links, club-side captain workflows) unlocks as your clubs onboard.
Sunday nights, we used to lose an hour typing scores into a spreadsheet. We don’t any more.
