Your First Login

Congratulations on becoming a member! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and help you get familiar with the member portal.

Setting Up Your Password

When your membership application is approved, you will receive an email with a link to set up your password.

Steps to Set Your Password

  1. Check your email - Look for an email from your club or Badminton Clubhouse with the subject "Set up your account" or similar
  2. Click the setup link - This will take you to the password reset page
  3. Create a strong password - Enter a password that is at least 8 characters long
  4. Confirm your password - Enter the same password again to confirm
  5. Click "Update password" - Your password is now set!
Important: Password reset links expire after a limited time for security. If your link has expired, go to the login page and click "Forgot password?" to request a new link.

Password Tips

  • Use at least 8 characters
  • Mix uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include numbers and special characters
  • Do not reuse passwords from other websites
  • Consider using a password manager

Logging In

Once your password is set, you are ready to log in.

  1. Go to the login page at /login
  2. Enter your email address - Use the same email you used for your application
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click Sign in

If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot password? link to reset it.

Where You Land After Login

After logging in, where you land depends on your permissions:

  • Admin users - If you have administrative permissions (e.g., managing members, viewing applications), you'll be taken directly to Admin Home
  • Regular members - You'll be taken to My Dashboard, your personal home base for everything club-related

This smart redirect saves you a click and gets you straight to where you need to be.

Welcome Banner

At the top of the page, you will see a personalised welcome message with your name and your club's branding.

Membership Status Card

This card shows your current membership details:

  • Status - Your membership status (Active, Pending, etc.)
  • Membership - The type of membership you have
  • Member Since - When you joined the club
  • Expires - When your membership needs to be renewed
Note: If you see a banner asking you to "Complete Your Profile", make sure to fill in all required information. This helps the club manage your membership and contact you when needed.

My Teams

If you have been assigned to any teams, they will appear here. You can:

  • See which teams you are a member of
  • View the number of players on each team
  • Click on a team to see more details

If you are not on any teams yet, do not worry! Team assignments are managed by team captains and the committee.

Announcements

Stay up to date with the latest club news. Announcements from the committee will appear here, with the most recent and pinned announcements shown first.

Convenient shortcuts to commonly used pages:

  • My Profile - Update your personal information
  • Teams - Browse all club teams
  • Resources - Access club documents and information

The Sidebar

On desktop, you will see a sidebar on the left with navigation links. On mobile, tap the menu icon to open it.

#### For Admin Users

If you have administrative permissions, the sidebar shows two sections:

  1. Admin (at the top) - Administrative features based on your permissions:
- Admin Home - Overview and quick actions

- Applications, Members, Calendar, etc. (only items you have permission for)

  1. My Club - Your personal member area:
- My Dashboard - Your personal overview

- Profile, Calendar, Directory, Announcements, Resources, Teams, Stats

#### For Regular Members

The sidebar shows your member navigation:

  • My Dashboard - Return to your personal home page
  • Profile - Manage your personal information
  • Calendar - View club events and fixtures
  • Directory - Find and connect with other members
  • Announcements - Read club news
  • Resources - Access club documents
  • Teams - View team information
  • Stats - Track your playing statistics

Help

Look for the help icon (?) in the navigation bar. Clicking it will show help content relevant to your current page.

Complete Your Profile

One of the first things you should do is complete your profile. This is important for the club to manage your membership and contact you when needed.

To complete your profile:

  1. Click My Profile in the sidebar or quick links
  2. Click the Edit button
  3. Fill in all required fields (marked with a red asterisk *)
  4. Click Save to update your information

Required fields typically include:

  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Address (line 1, city, postcode)
  • Emergency contact (name, phone, relationship)

Once your profile is complete and the committee has activated your membership, you will gain access to all club features like the member directory, announcements, and teams.

See our Managing Your Profile guide for more details.

Troubleshooting

I cannot log in

  • Double-check your email address is correct
  • Make sure you are using the right password (passwords are case-sensitive)
  • Try the "Forgot password?" link to reset your password
  • Check if Caps Lock is on

Password reset links expire after a short time. Request a new one by:

  1. Going to the login page
  2. Clicking "Forgot password?"
  3. Entering your email address
  4. Checking your email for a new link

I can log in but my membership says "Pending"

This means the committee has not yet activated your membership. While waiting for activation:

  1. Make sure your profile is complete - look for the blue banner on your dashboard
  2. Fill in all required information (this helps the committee process your membership)
  3. Contact the committee if you have been waiting for an extended period

The committee will activate your membership once they have reviewed your application and received any required fees.

I cannot find my team

Team assignments are managed by team captains and the committee. If you expect to be on a team but do not see it, contact your club directly.

Next Steps

Now that you are logged in and familiar with the portal:

  • Complete your profile with all required information
  • Explore your dashboard and familiarise yourself with the layout
  • Check the announcements for any important club news
  • Browse the teams section to see what teams are available

Welcome to the club!
