Attendance Report
Track club session attendance over time with summary statistics and charts
Attendance Report
The Attendance report shows how many players attend each club session, helping you spot trends and plan ahead.
Accessing the Report
Navigate to Admin > Analytics, then click the Attendance card. Or go directly to Admin > Analytics > Attendance.
Summary Cards
At the top of the page, four summary cards provide a quick overview:
| Card | Description |
|------|-------------|
| Total Sessions | Number of completed club sessions in the selected period |
| Avg Attendance | Average number of players per session |
| Peak Attendance | Highest attendance in a single session |
| Trend | Whether attendance is going up, down, or staying flat compared to the previous period |
How the Trend is Calculated
The sessions in the selected period are split in half. The average attendance of the more recent half is compared to the earlier half. If attendance has increased by more than 5%, the trend shows as up. If it has decreased by more than 5%, it shows as down. Otherwise, it shows as flat.
Attendance Chart
Below the summary cards, a bar chart shows attendance for each session over time. Each bar represents one club session, with its height showing the number of players who attended.
Hover over any bar to see the exact date and count.
Date Range Filtering
Use the Time Period dropdown to filter the data:
- Last 30 Days - Recent activity
- Last 90 Days - Quarterly view (default)
- This Season - Year-to-date
- All Time - Complete history
Changing the date range updates both the summary cards and the chart.
What Counts as Attendance?
A player is counted as attending a session if they were added to the session queue (the peg board). This includes:
- Members added to the queue
- Applicants invited to play
- Guest players
Only completed sessions (those that have been ended) are included in the report.
Using Attendance Data
Planning Sessions
- If attendance is trending up, consider booking additional courts
- If certain days consistently have low attendance, consider rescheduling
- Peak attendance figures help you plan venue capacity
Committee Reporting
- Use the summary stats in committee meetings to report on activity levels
- Compare seasonal trends to identify your busiest and quietest periods
- Track the impact of promotional efforts on attendance
Troubleshooting
"No completed sessions found"
- Sessions must be ended (not just started) to appear in the report
- Check the date range includes the period you're looking for
- Ensure club sessions have been run with players added to the queue
Attendance count seems too high or low
- The count includes all players added to the queue, including guests and applicants
- Players who were added then removed are still counted
- Each player is counted once per session regardless of how many games they played
