Player Stats

The Player Stats page provides comprehensive statistics across all your club sessions. Track player performance, analyse partnerships, review session history, and click through to individual session results.

Accessing Player Stats

Navigate to Admin > Analytics, then click the Player Stats card. Or go directly to Admin > Analytics > Player Stats.

Player Leaderboard

The main view shows a leaderboard of all players who have participated in club sessions.

Leaderboard Columns

| Column | Description |

|--------|-------------|

| Player | Name and profile photo |

| Games Played | Total number of games across all sessions |

| Won | Total games won |

| Lost | Total games lost |

| Win Rate | Percentage of games won |

The leaderboard is sorted by total games played by default, showing your most active players first.

Understanding Win Rates

  • Win rate is calculated as: (Games Won / Total Games) × 100
  • Only completed games with recorded scores are counted
  • Ties (equal scores) are not counted as wins for either team

Game Type Filtering

Filter the leaderboard and all statistics by game format using the Game Type dropdown:

  • All Games - Include all game formats (default)
  • Doubles - Only doubles games (2v2)
  • Singles - Only full-court singles games (1v1)
  • Half Court - Only half-court singles games

When filtering by Singles or Half Court:

  • The Partner Analysis section is hidden (partnerships only apply to doubles)
  • Only relevant games are counted toward win rates and totals

This is useful for analysing players who are strong at singles versus doubles, or for reviewing half-court training game performance separately from competitive play.

Date Range Filtering

Filter statistics by time period using the date range selector:

  • Last 30 Days - Recent activity snapshot
  • Last 90 Days - Quarterly view
  • This Year - Year-to-date statistics
  • All Time - Complete historical data
  • Custom Range - Pick specific start and end dates using calendar pickers

Using Custom Date Ranges

Select Custom Range from the dropdown to reveal two date pickers. Click each to open a calendar and choose your start and end dates. Data will load automatically once both dates are selected.

The calendars prevent you from selecting a start date after the end date, or picking dates in the future.

Detailed Player Statistics

Click on any player in the leaderboard to view their detailed statistics in a panel on the right.

Partner Analysis (Doubles Only)

For doubles games, see how the selected player performs with different partners:

| Statistic | Description |

|-----------|-------------|

| Partner name | Who they played with |

| Games together | Number of doubles games as a team |

| Won together | Games won as a partnership |

| Win rate | Success rate when paired |

This helps identify strong partnerships and can inform team selections for competitive events.

Opponent Analysis

See how the selected player performs against specific opponents:

| Statistic | Description |

|-----------|-------------|

| Opponent name | Who they played against |

| Games against | Number of times they faced each other |

| Won against | Wins against this opponent |

| Win rate vs | Success rate against this specific player |

Session History

Below the leaderboard, a list of past sessions is displayed. Each session shows:

  • Session name - Custom name or the date
  • Date and time - When the session started and ended
  • Courts - Number of courts used
  • Started by - Committee member who started it

Viewing Session Results

Click on any session in the history list to go to its full results page. There you can see:

  • Session summary (duration, games, players)
  • Game-by-game results with scores
  • Player rankings for that specific session
  • Top 3 players highlighted with medals

Using Player Stats Effectively

For Club Sessions

  1. Balance future games - Use win rates to create fair matchups
  2. Recognise active players - Identify your most engaged members
  3. Track improvement - Watch newer players' win rates improve over time

For Social Events

  1. Mix up partnerships - Use partner data to encourage new pairings
  2. Create friendly rivalries - Opponent data can fuel competitive spirit
  3. Celebrate milestones - Recognise players reaching game counts

For Committee Planning

  1. Attendance trends - Session history shows participation over time
  2. Popular sessions - Identify which sessions get the most players
  3. Court utilisation - Check if you need more or fewer courts

Privacy Considerations

  • All statistics are visible to committee members only
  • Players cannot see detailed analytics about other players
  • Consider this when discussing statistics publicly

Troubleshooting

"No data showing"

  • Ensure you have completed sessions with recorded games
  • Check the date range filter isn't excluding all sessions
  • Games must have scores recorded to count

"Win rate seems wrong"

  • Only games with scores are counted
  • Cancelled sessions are not included
  • Check both teams had scores entered

"Missing player from leaderboard"

  • Players only appear after their first recorded game
  • Guests show separately from members
  • Check the date range includes their sessions
