Getting Around the App

The app uses different navigation patterns depending on the size of your screen.

On Mobile — Bottom Tab Bar

On phones and small tablets, the main navigation sits at the bottom of the screen, always within thumb's reach. You'll see four tabs plus a More button:

| Tab | What it does |

|-----|--------------|

| Home | My Dashboard — greeting, upcoming events, anything that needs you |

| Calendar | All club events, with filters and RSVP |

| Teams | Your teams, rosters, fixtures |

| Directory | Browse other members (if your club allows) |

| More | Everything else — Availability, Stats, Finances, Resources, Announcements, Help, Feedback |

The active tab is highlighted in a soft colour (green for Home, orange for Calendar, rose for Teams, blue for Directory).

The More sheet

Tapping More opens a sheet from the bottom with the rest of the app. It's a single tap away — nothing is ever more than two taps from the Home tab.

Account actions

Your profile menu (top-right avatar) handles Profile, Sign out, Dark mode, Feedback, and Help. These aren't in the bottom bar on purpose — the avatar is always visible at the top.

On Desktop — Sidebar

On desktop (screens wider than a tablet), a full sidebar appears on the left with every section, grouped by area. The bottom tab bar doesn't show.

For Committee Members — Admin ↔ Member Toggle

If you have admin permissions as well as being a member, your sidebar shows a small toggle at the top with Admin on the left and Member on the right. It switches which menu you see.

  • Admin view — Applications, Members, Communications, Settings, etc.
  • Member view — Dashboard, Teams, Directory, Calendar, etc. (the same menu regular members see)

Your current view is reflected in the URL, so bookmarks and shared links always land you where you expect. On mobile, the bottom tab bar adapts to match — admin view shows Admin / Applications / Members / Calendar; member view shows the regular tabs listed above.

Regular members (without admin permissions) never see this toggle — the sidebar just shows the member menu directly.

If You Belong to More Than One Club

One Badminton Clubhouse account can hold memberships across any number of clubs. When you sign in with multiple active memberships we show a short Choose a club picker, and inside the app a Switch club section appears in your profile menu. Single-club members don't see any of this — nothing changes for them.
