Linking your Badminton England membership

If you hold a Badminton England (BE) membership, you can record it on your player profile. Your club can then confirm, once, that the number and tier match BE's records, so they don't have to re-check it every competition.

Why bother?

Competition organisers may require a current BE membership at a particular tier. Check the event requirements and current Badminton England rules before entering. Recording your BE number on your profile means:

• Your club's competition entry list shows BE-status at a glance.
• You don't have to dig out your BE card every time you enter a tournament.
• If you change clubs, your BE info travels with you, it's stored against your player profile, not your club membership.

Your Badminton England area

The Badminton England menu is available to every signed-in user, even without a club or completed player profile. On mobile, find it in More.

• About introduces ways to play, compete, coach and support your club, plus the All England event.
• Membership puts your own membership details at the top, with Community Adult, Community Junior, Compete, Coach and club affiliation benefits below. Join and renew buttons open Badminton England's own website.
• Once your tier is saved, the card that matches it is marked Your current membership, so you can see the benefits you already have. Badminton England sells playing membership as a ladder rather than as add-ons: you hold one playing tier at a time, and Compete includes Community membership, so a Compete holder also sees the Community Adult card marked as included. A saved Play or Club tier both point at Community Adult; Fan has no card.
• The benefit descriptions summarise BE?s published membership offers, including retailer rewards, All England ticket privileges, coaching support and club resources. Use the links to check the full current benefits, insurance terms, eligibility and prices with Badminton England. Coach insurance requires an active Coach Licence.
• The old player-profile section links to this new home. Your existing number, tier and verification are preserved.
• Editing your details reveals the sticky Save and Discard controls. Save before navigating away. Discard restores your last saved details.

Where Badminton Clubhouse points you to Badminton England

Badminton Clubhouse never sells or processes Badminton England membership. It shows you the way to Badminton England's own register at the moments it matters:

• A club's public page. When a club is linked to its Badminton England record, its page carries a Badminton England section with a Join Badminton England through [club] button. That opens the club's own join page on Badminton England's membership system, so your membership is attached to the right club.
• My membership (/[club]/membership). Your membership page for each club has a Badminton England card. If your BE number is already on your profile it says so, with a Renew link. If not, it offers the club's join link and a shortcut to add your number.
• Your Action Centre (/me/action-centre). When you hold an entry in a competition that needs Badminton England membership and your profile does not satisfy it (no number, a Play tier where Compete is needed, or a number without a tier), a card tells you what to get and links to your profile. It clears itself once your profile records what the competition needs.
• My competitions (/me/competitions). Each of your own entries shows a chip such as "Needs Compete membership" or "Upgrade to Compete" until your profile satisfies the competition.
• Entering a competition. When an organiser has marked a competition as needing Badminton England membership, the entry panel says so and links to Badminton England and to your profile. It knows the difference between any membership and the Compete tier: if the competition is a sanctioned tournament and your profile records a Play membership, it tells you to upgrade before you enter. It never blocks your entry; the organiser checks eligibility.

Tip: Links to Badminton England from this site carry a small referral tag so Badminton England can see which memberships came through the platform. Nothing about you is sent with it.

How to add it

1. Open Badminton England ? Membership in your user menu (on mobile, open More). You can also go directly to /me/badminton-england/membership.
2. Use the Badminton England membership card at the top of the page. It also carries a Join Badminton England (or Renew or upgrade) button that opens Badminton England's own membership pages.
3. Enter your BE membership number exactly as it appears on your BE card or in your JustGo account.
4. Choose your membership tier:
   • Play: recreational adult membership
   • Compete: membership for regular tournament players
   • Club: adult club-membership tier
   • Coach: coach pathway
   • Fan: non-playing supporter
5. Click Save.

That's it. Your number and tier are visible to your club's committee but not to other members.

Verification

By default, your entry is self-attested: we trust you. A committee member at any club you belong to can also verify it: they cross-check your number and tier against BE's club-secretary view in JustGo, then mark your profile as verified.

When verified, a green "Verified" badge appears next to your BE number, along with the date.

If you later change your BE number or tier (for example, you upgrade from Play to Compete), the verification is cleared automatically and a committee member will need to re-verify the new details.

Junior players

If you're a guardian managing a junior's profile, the same fields appear under a child's profile in /me/juniors. The junior tier set is different:

• U12s: Badminton England's junior tier (most under-12s)
• Play or Compete: older juniors who hold an adult tier

What we don't do

We don't exchange data with Badminton England directly. BE doesn't publish a public API for partner platforms, so nothing about your BE membership is sent to them, and nothing about your BE membership is pulled from them automatically. Your club secretary still needs to log into JustGo separately to verify a number.

Removing your BE info

You can clear your BE number and tier at any time from /me/badminton-england/membership. If you remove your account or request data erasure via /me/data, your BE number is pseudonymised along with the rest of your profile, see Deleting your account.
