Your player area

The player area (/me) is your daily-use surface across every club you belong to. It's the same sidebar, the same shortcuts, and the same inbox no matter which clubs you're a member of, one consistent home for everything you consume across the platform.

What you'll find at /me: progressive reveal

The sidebar (or bottom nav on mobile) grows with you. Sections appear only when the underlying data exists, so the nav stays scannable on day one and still scales when you take on more roles.

Your home at /me

Your home at /me is role-responsive: it adapts to exactly what you do on the platform.

Your membership card. At the top of /me is your Badminton Clubhouse membership card: your name, handle, and a line about how you play (or, if you don't play, the role that fits you). Below that sit your role insignia (Player, Guardian, Service provider, Admin), the year you joined, your Badminton England status, and the clubs you belong to. Members who joined in the launch season carry a Founding finish, and a verified Badminton England membership adds an authenticity seal. The card is yours to show off: it has no buttons or to-dos. Anything that needs your attention appears just below it, you manage your roles on your profile, and you navigate from the sidebar. Role dashboards. Below the card, a tile for each of your active roles links through to that role's dedicated dashboard: /me/player, /me/guardian, /me/services, or your admin areas as appropriate. The tools and overview for each role live on that dashboard, so home stays a clean triage screen. Find. Three discovery cards (find a friendly game, find a club, find a coach or stringer) sit just below your tasks, available whatever roles you hold. Recent activity. A feed of your most recent activity across all your clubs and roles. Admin invite footer. If you administer any clubs, associations, or counties, a footer section lists them with direct links into each admin area.

Avatar dropdown _(personal account)_

| Section | What it's for |

|---------|---------------|

| My profile | Your details, used across every club |

| Settings | Account, security, notification preferences |

| Sign out | End your session |

The dropdown is deliberately minimal: role-scoped destinations like Juniors and Payments live in their gated sidebar groups (Guardian, Player), so they only appear for users who hold those roles.

Notifications open from the bell in the header. You get the same sidebar in every context, no more switching between per-club sidebars depending on which club you're looking at.

The global club filter chip

In the header at the top of every /me/ page sits a small club filter chip. By default it reads "All clubs": every list you see (calendar, announcements, news, etc.) shows content from every club you belong to.

Click the chip to pick a single club. Every list on every /me/ page is now scoped to that one club until you change it. The chip persists as you move around, it's a sticky filter, not a one-off.

Switch back to "All clubs" to broaden again.

Per-club deep dives

When you tap an announcement, an event, a team, or a member from any /me/ list, you go to that item's per-club detail page (/{club-slug}/announcements/[id], /{club-slug}/teams/[id], etc.). These pages still render inside the player shell, same sidebar, same look, but a small club-themed header strip identifies which club this item belongs to so context is never lost.

So you read the list at /me/announcements, click into the article, and land at /sbc/announcements/abc123 with a Sutton BC strip at the top. Hit the back button to return to your list.

Your relationship with a specific club: /{slug}/membership

The page that used to be your per-club Profile is now /{slug}/membership, a lean view focused on your relationship to that specific club:

  • Your status (Active, Expiring, Lapsed, etc.)
  • Your role in the club
  • Your fee snapshot (next charge, last payment)
  • A "Leave this club" action
  • A link out to your platform-wide profile at /me/profile

Personal details (name, contact, emergency contact, medical notes, address) live on the platform-wide profile, change them once and every club sees the update. The per-club page no longer duplicates them.

What about the old per-club sidebar?

Removed. Members used to see a different sidebar inside each club, Calendar / Directory / Announcements / Resources / Teams / Stats per club, which meant your daily navigation depended on which club you'd last visited. That's gone. Now there's one consistent sidebar at /me/ regardless of which club's content you're looking at, with the chip in the header doing the per-club narrowing when you want it.

Admins still see the admin sidebar at /{slug}/admin/, that's unchanged. Committee work and member daily use are now cleanly separated:

  • /me/, daily use, consumption, cross-club
  • /{slug}/membership: your relationship to one club
  • /{slug}/admin/, committee tools (admins only)
  • /{slug}//[id]: per-club detail pages (announcements, events, teams, members, news, resources)

Mobile vs Desktop

Desktop

A fixed sidebar on the left holds the player nav. At the bottom of the sidebar you'll see a list of your clubs as quick links into each one (their public home + your /{slug}/membership page).

Mobile

A bottom navigation bar with the core tabs plus a More button that opens a sheet containing the rest.

Welcome flow

If you've just signed up, your first stop is /me/onboarding, a couple of quick steps to set up your profile, and then you land on your /me home. From there you can add further roles at any time via your profile: go to /me/player/profile and turn on Player, Guardian, or Service provider whenever you're ready.

Troubleshooting

Why am I seeing announcements from a club I no longer belong to?

Announcements you've already received stay in your /me/announcements feed even after you leave a club, so you don't lose context. New announcements only flow from clubs you're an active member of.

The club filter chip doesn't show one of my clubs

Only active and expiring* memberships appear in the chip dropdown. Lapsed and cancelled memberships are hidden so you don't accidentally filter to a club you're no longer in. You can see all your clubs (current and past) under /me/clubs.

It's now /{slug}/membership, same place in the URL bar, leaner content. Personal details moved to your platform-wide profile at /me/profile.
